How This Garden Works
- 🌱 Seedlings / Unfinished Thoughts - seedling
These are thoughts that need more tending to before I really say I understand a topic or idea. They are usually extremely surface level and need a lot of research.

These are things that I have thought a lot about and/or have a lot of information on. A more realized thought than a seedling, but still needs a lot of tending to really root itself in the garden.
- 🌿 Branch / A realized thought - branch
‘Branches’ are usually more realized thought than a seedling and has supplanted itself as a branching idea. These are pages that I use to inform many other pages on this site. (Meaning, this page has a lot of backlinks and I refer to it a lot). These pages can also be jumping off places to discover other ideas and concepts.

‘Fruits’ are usually fully realized thoughts or ideas that need little to no tending anymore.
What is a digital garden?
Think of it like a personal wiki, a learning device and a ideas/thoughts cabinet all wrapped into one. It is a garden full of half-finished pages, ever being tended to, ever growing and ever changing. It is constantly in need of tending, planting and weeding.
It is never a complete piece of work and every page here is subject to change depending on my whims and passions and any new information I happen to gather.
To me personally, it is a place to sort all my knowledge into easy-to-read chunks and create new ideas through linking pages. While some use it as mainly a blog or a place to store links, I will be using it more so as a less conforming zettelkasten where I both post my knowledge as it grows as well as my thoughts/opinions on certain topics and other random things I feel like adding here.
TLDR: It’s like a mix between a notebook and a blog but most pages are always in an unfinished state as my knowledge and thoughts grow over time.
Things to note:
Please not that sometimes I do research on things that I do not personally agree with. I like to try to keep an open mind and explore opposite opinions on topics and have a rounded view of things before I form an idea or opinion on something.
I try to be as nuanced as my knowledge allows me to be but just because I write about something on this site does not mean I actually share that point of view unless I say that I do. I often write about opposite opinions to gain a better understanding. My opinions and thoughts are always changing, what I believe today could be the complete opposite tomorrow if I find new, reliable information to the contrary.
It shouldn’t be said, but, if you don’t like something, don’t read it.
